Proposal description

The competition site is an irregular, flat grassy area surrounded by new residential buildings and urban streets (partly designed, partly realized). The view on the hills and the Basilica of Superga and the nearby Po characterize this area as quiet and strongly linked to nature. Urbanistically speaking, the competition area is a link between the existing city and the new northern expanding area which is mainly residential. The whole area is presently undergoing great transformation. The many construction sites have used the area as a dump for movemented earth.
